It can be challenging to find the right stamp to go with your invitations...you may not want to put a liberty bell or american flag on your lovely calligraphed envelopes. The postal service puts out some incredible looking birds, butterflies and flowers, which can look really nice, but aren't necessarily going to match your color theme and, you may need to buy two or three to match the postage needed. To really complete the custom look for your invites, you can create your own stamps from the us postal service. It works with any jpeg; a photo of you and your fiancé is great for a Save the Date, but for the ultimate in custom design, ask your designer for permission to use her/his artwork to coordinate with your envelope as a few of my clients have done recently. It costs a bit more (about $1 extra each stamp) but is a fun way to further personalize your invitations. You can weigh your assembled invitations and order the correct postage for a clean look on your envelopes. I have a ton of stamp ideas this week...check in later for another custom idea. calligraphy here from calligraphy of oakbrook
