I was so honored to design a set of personalized stationery for Colleen Froehlich. This woman is quite a wonder. Not only has she owned and operated her Three Oaks, MI shop, Froehlichs for 17 years, she makes from scratch almost all of the food items in the store: canned jams, sauces, marinades, bagels, breads, pies...Whew! And, did I mention the pickles, tomatoes and jams are not only canned right on site, they are grown on her organic farm too! It's no wonder this work horse gets up at 4am most days to start baking. This visionary had a great idea for her stationery, inspired by her main love: tomatoes. We engraved green tomatoes on deep red paper for her personalized stationery and paired it with a bright lime green envelope, engraved in red. I visited Colleen's shop last weekend and took some pictures on her farm as well, take a look!
These pickles were "ripening" in the sun on her flat bed trailer.
Tomatoes in the garden, almost ready for canning, and some jars of last summer's labors in her store.
There were about four of these racks of raw baked goods in the back of the shop, just for Saturdays stock.
we visited three oaks in early august. loved the town, and was charmed by froelichs. what pretty tomato stationery!
