This year, we were asked to participate in Tabula Tua's Annual Registry event, and create paper goods to coordinate with their beautiful tabletop designs, coordinating around the theme of color. We we excited to exhibit with some of Chicago's best vendors: Birch Design Studio, Blumen, Jet Set Travel, Studio This is, Bittersweet Bakery, and Park Hyatt and NoMI. It's always an exciting challenge to think of new and exciting ways to display paper, and we had so much fun with these tables. What better way to incorporate color than paint samples from your neighborhood hardware store? Graphic, bold and available in any color! Use a variety of shades in your color palette, or a different shade for every guest. I can just see the escort card table - a sea of hues..
A playful, elegant butterfly sits atop each water glass. I cut a slit in the butterfly to get it to rest delicately on the edge. Calligraphy by Stacey Shapiro.
Bold Menus for an even bolder table. This paper was double sided- pink on one side, lime on the other.
My favorite table at the event. When I said this to the store's stylist, she said, Yes, it's very California Spa. No wonder. We think luggage tag inspired menus add to the wanderlust element without even trying. Tie the menu to the napkin, stem of a glass, or just let the silk ribbon trail gracefully.
