The margarita- upgraded. We posted this recipe over on Kit This last summer, and I couldn't help but repost as the weather starts to warm up here in Chicago. This is best enjoyed outdoors, in beautiful coupe glasses, with friends. Since moving to Chicago, we’ve been exposed to some of the best restaurants in the world, and my husband currently works within the restaurant group responsible for Avec, Publican, Blackbird, among others. This is adapted from our friend Kyle’s Juliet and Romeo, who developed the amazing cocktail menu over at Violet Hour. I had to try it for myself. But, I’m a California girl, and we like margaritas, so I decided to change up the alcohol from Gin to Tequila, and garnish it with rose petals, and I think I might have put together the perfect summer cocktail.. I never promised you a Rose Garnish Makes 2: 4 oz. Silver Tequila ( I like Milagro) 2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice 1 1/4 oz. of Agave or simple syrup 6 drops of rose water couple dashes of bitters mint and rose petals for garnish shake with ice and serve top with one more drop of rose water and bitters
