Introducing the Style Stories, a weekly exploration of how we help our classic couples express their unique style through their wedding invitations. It all starts out in the creative consultation, where we get to know their stories, family history, and type of wedding they envision; then we help to express it flawlessly through paper. We touch on all the details from paper thickness, print style, design, color, and all the personal touches, from wax seals, to custom painted liners. I wanted to start things off with Bianca and Bryen, as it's their one year anniversary this week (and they're celebrating in Italy!) and they definitely fit the bill - stylish, classic, and they wanted to incorporate personal details to reflect their vision. They were married last July at RM Champagne Salon, with the reception held at the Violet Hour in Chicago.
Bianca and Bryen wanted to incorporate their custom portrait of Benny into the invitations, so he became the cover of the rsvp postcards, and truly the star of the show.
Bianca co-owns Estera Events, an event design company in Chicago, so she's acutely aware of how important the details are, from incorporating her grandmother's cannolis into the dessert bar to plastering the outside of the Violet Hour with Benny's portrait.
I knew we had to use velvet somehow, to tie in the Violet Hour's decor, and we incorporated the burgundy velvet wrap used to hold their invites together with their custom H wax seal. Bianca knows a few things about invitations, so she lined her own invitations with grey velvet and affixed all the gold wax seals herself.
Emilia Jane Photography captured the perfect classic portraits that will look beautiful now and when B+B show their grandkids :) To see more of the wedding, head over to Martha Stewart Weddings for the full feature.
