My cake: BTW my girlfriend, Laura, who helped with the flowers at my wedding, just told me recently that they dropped my cake at the wedding. I think I can tell, but I sure didn't then. I think she was right to wait ten years to tell me, though! Can you tell it was dropped?

Now, don't get me wrong, I loved my cake. But my wedding was ten years ago, and my tastes (no pun intended) have changed. The pops of red in our wedding were not part of a theme, but thrown in for the love of the color. If I re-did my wedding, I wouldn't use red, but more neutral tones. I love the understated elegance of this cake from Martha Stewart. Just love. The unweddingy-ness, the natural color of the cake, the caramel.
