This week has been busy with assembly of some of the components for invitation sets. Allison ordered some of the blank couture correspondence for her bridesmaid's gifts, so we've been lining envelopes by hand with the brightest fushia paper-lovely-and tying up the bundles with green silk ribbon. Check back Tuesday for Allison and David's custom fuschia and chocolate peony invitation suite, complete with a monogram, custom stamps and calligraphy.
This invitation suite for Lauren and David has been the ultimate in custom design. They took a design from the site and added their own personal twist to it, with the addition of hand drawn butterfly silhouettes. The need for a home for the variety of cards they required for their wedding weekend led to the creation of this custom folder. It was letterpress printed on the front on Bockingford 140lb cotton paper. The inside was offset printed in green, showing the white butterflies. We're engraving and letterpress printing the invitation cards and created their own diecut for a custom chartreuse envelope, engraved with white ink. Calligraphed envelopes and a custom grass stamp finish off this set. We're still in the midst of the gluing and assembly-take a look at the process below. This suite will be out the door on Wednesday, so check back for photos of the completed set then.
