I had the pleasure of attending a sweet garden party hosted by the Rose Lady, aka Victoria, at Gethsemane Garden Center in Chicago. Victoria not only knows a lot about roses, she can throw a lovely garden party. The menu consisted of dill, cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches, avocado and watercress sandwiches, strawberries with three different rose infused sugars for sprinkling, cookies from M Henry, and her lovely rose infused white tea punch. It was so refreshing and colorful, I had to share her beautiful spread, which was of course set up among the roses at Gethsemane. This would make a beautiful bridal shower, don't you think? Not only is Victoria a talented host and green thumb, she can play a mean accordion in Logan Square's Syrup Eddies. Thanks for sharing, Victoria!
