Though weddings are often looked at as "your special day," it is also a very special and significant day for your closest family and friends. It is a day that is meant to be shared and enjoyed with the ones you love, as you planned it just as much for them as you did for yourself. When I was married ten years ago, Seth's mother had recently passed away and we honored her by being married on her birthday, April 16th. Seth and his groomsmen (both his brothers) wore a pin in place of a boutineer - sent to us from the cancer foundation - on his lapel. They had sent them to us in recognition of a donation made by the family. I just loved this.
A recent client of ours was smitten with our Love Letter invitation design, because it reminded her of the romantic letters swapped between her grandparents, which she was able to incorporate into her program. "Something old" is a perfect excuse to showcase something that was dear to your mother or grandmother, whether it be her vintage pearl necklace or her lacey veil. If your closest family members want to be a part of the ceremony, they can even be certified to marry you! A recent client of ours was married by her mother this past weekend, who is a judge. Anyone can be certified online though!
Just catching up… great recent posts!
