You know when things just feel right? I'm constantly thinking about things, dreaming of new ideas, and sometimes, just taking too long to execute them. Designers and small business owners have to rely on their intuition, in large and small decisions. The fear that accompanies these decisions can either be debilatating, or exhilerating. After being in the business for almost 7 years this summer, I've made the mistake of not taking a good idea to fruition. Just coming out with a new product isn't enough. You have to truly market it, in a pretty huge way, which is an investment of time and dollars. I've been working with two new consultants this year, and their expertise, paired with a little bit of luck, design time, and of course, intuition is the key to success. Oh, and did I mention hard work? You have to work all the time. That's just the way it is. I mean, it wouldn't be worth it if it were just handed to you, right?
