It's with a sense of the surreal and much awe that I can finally say that my family is in a home! We bought our first home last month, and moved last week to the most northern neighborhood in Chicago, Rogers Park. Its huge backyard, mature trees, and the unconventional (for Chicago) cedar siding on this house remind me of northern California redwood homes, which is probably why it feels so right to be in it. We are slowly making our mark, and loving every minute of it.
Our first dinner in the new house.
